The Washington Airports Task Force (WATF) is a public/private sector, non-profit partnership dedicated to ensuring that the region's airports can reach their potential, thereby continuing their impact as economic engines. The WATF is funded on the public side through grants from the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Aviation, and from Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, which border the airport.
Funding on the private sector side comes from individuals and corporations who understand that the global access provided by Dulles Airport is of fundamental importance to our region's sustained prosperity. The WATF does not operate Reagan National or Dulles Airport. That is the responsibility of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA).
